Bred by Thistlewood Arabian Farm in the US, SHANI PADRONA is a rare treasure,
being one of the very last daughters of the legendary stallion PADRON.
Padron was born in Holland where he was National Champion Colt Foal and there he was discovered by american breeder Robert Stratmore of Make Beleive Farms. Stratmore was completely taken with the typey colt and decided that PADRON had to be had at any cost: and how right he was. Padron is one of the most beautiful and influential stallions that ever lived and he has been an inspiration and source of great sucess for many breeders. Padrons charisma and powerfull movements drew full attention in the showring: he is a Triple Crown Winner; US, Canadian and Scottsdale Champion Stallion.
In the US, Padron was syndicated for the record sum of USD 11 000 000.00.
More importantly, Padrons sons have created a very dominant sireline wich includes the look-alike sons LYPHARD and PADRONS PSYCHE, the latter sire of PSYTADEL and the magnificent many times National Champion MAGNUM PSYCHE; he in turn is the sire of WH JUSTICE and countless National and International Champions, Magnum Psyche is considered the chief progenitor of the Padron sireline.
Padrons Psyche is also the sire of ENZO, a popular stallion who is gaining interest over the world, most recently in the state studs of Poland where he has sired a number of champions.
Padrons sire was the Tersk- bred, very elegant and typey 3 times Dutch National Champion PATRON. Regarded as the most beatiful of Aswans sons, he died before his time, prior to being imported to the US. Padron is his most distinguished son, perhaps aptly making up for his sires early demise.
Padrons dam is ODESSA; a daughter of two British National Champions. She was also imported to the US, a lovely chestnut mare typical of the Rodania damline, she was of mainly Crabbet lines.
In fact, Shani Padrona is of predominatly Crabbet- heritage, also through her dams side, her dam being the straight egyptian mare AZ EXOTICA. Her sire ABENHETEP is a maternal grandson of Alaa El Din, sire of the great mare HANAN among others, and Abenheteps sire is the bay IBN HAFIZA. Bred by the El Zahraa Stud, his is dam is the great producing mare HAFIZA, dam also of the extraordinary stallion El Araby. Ibn Hafiza was used as a sire at El Zahraa before being exported to the Gleannloch Stud in the US.
AZ Exotica carries several lines to the great egyptian stallion Hamdan, "King of the Inshass Stud". In tail female line she traces to the Saudi-bred mare EL KAHILA, who was imported in 1927 to Egypt for the famous Inshass Stud.
AZ Exoticas pedigree contains many great names in arabian horse history such as the stallions ANSATA IBN HALIMA, THE EGYPTIAN PRINCE and the ever stunning MORAFIC. Even further back is SAADUN, one of Lady Anne Blunts most beloved horses: the fantastic mover AZREK, the stylish bay SOTAMM who was exported from Crabbet to Egypt in 1920 were he became a significant sire, and the legendary mare QUEEN OF SHEBA, one of the cornerstones of arabian breeding, she was famous even in her native desert.

Bred by the succesful Bessewacht Stud in Belgium. The young mare BESS GINGER
have proven herself in the showring with a number of champion titles and now
also as a supreme broodmare, having produced two beautiful daughters, lately an
outstanding chestnut filly by AJMAN MONISCIONE.
BESS GINGER is a daughter of the International sire AL MARAAM; he is a Israeli National Champion and the sire and grandsire of many Israeli National & International Champions: among these are LATIFAA AA, AL BILAL, ARUSSA and AA AL BASHYR . Al Maraam himself is a powerful bay with fantastic, large dark eyes and incredible type.
As a young sire, Al Maraam was chosen to stand at stud at the Polish State Studs where he produced among others the lovely grey PARMANA, currently on lease to the Athbah Stud in Saudi Arabia. Parmana has been very succesful in the showring both in Poland, Europe and the Middle East.
The last few years Al Maraam was leased to Furioso Farms in the US and after a short return to his native Israel, he is now on lease to the prestigious Al Badeia Farm in Egypt.
Al Marrams dam is the exotic black pearl THE VISION; bred in the US and imported to Israel for Ariela, she has been a true blessing to their breeding program. The Vision is a double Israeli National Champion Mare and a dam of International Champions. The Vision- son AL LAHAB is a World & International Champion Stallion and a sire of international acclaim. While on lease to the historical Om El Arab in the US, Al Lahab sired the 2010 US National Junior Champion Stallion OM EL AL AZEEM.
The sire of Al Maraam is the influential and important World Champion Stallion IMPERIAL IMDAL. His get include the double World Champion Mare LOUBNA and the super-producing stallion LAHEEB. Like Al Maraam, Laheeb was leased to the Polish State Studs, were he produced a number of champions: among them the Polish National Champion Stallion POGANIN and the World Champion Mare GALILEA. Laheeb is also the sire of AL LAHAB, making Al Lahab and Al Maraam 3/4 brothers.
BESS GINGERs dam is BESS CORDESSA, a valued broodmare at Besserwacht and a daughter of the great sire IBN ESTASHA.
Ibn Estasha is bred by the famous Om El Arab Stud and he has been one of its most noteworthy produces, not a small feat considering the studs production of worldwide sensations such as El SHAKLAN and SANADIK EL SHAKLAN.
Being the source behind many of todays most acomplished showhorses, Ibn Estasha repetedly passes his great qualitys down the line on to his descendants, like the lovely 2010 World Champion BESS FAI´ZAH: (also bred by Bessewacht). Ibn Estasha sons include ESTA GHALIL and the top-producing stallion AS NATSIR APAL, owned by Ajman Stud. AS Natsir Apal is also the sire of ESTA ESPLANAN.
Further, through Esta Ghalil, Ibn Estasha is the grandsire of the typey and popular KHIDAR; twice World Reserve Champion Stallion. Ibn Estasha is egyptian-spanish in lineage, his dam ESTASHA being a full sister of the legendary EL SHAKLAN. The spanish-bred ESTOPA, famed throughout the world as the foundation of Om El Arab, is the maternal granddam of Ibn Estasha. Her get and grandget include some of the greatest names in arabian horse history, such as SHAREM EL SHEIK, IBN ESTOPA and of course the before mentioned EL SHAKLAN and SANADIK EL SHAKLAN. All of these have won many of the most prestigious titles besides also being fantastic producers, proving the genetic strenght of this pedigree.

A straight egyptian mare, bred by Countess Penelope Lewenhaupt of Sweden.
Shadwana is a daughter of CLASSIC SHADWAN,
several times Champion at halter and sire of champions and Most Classic
Head-winners. Classic Shadwan is by of the beautiful ALIDAAR, bred in the US and
later exported from France on to Qatar: Alidaar is a fullbrother to RUMINAJA
ALI. The legendary Ruminaja Ali is the grandsire of such famous stallions as ALI
JAMAAL, THE MINSTRIL and GAZAL AL SHAQAB. The sireline is that of SAKLAWI I,
the most influential of sirelines today. Classic Shadwans dam SHAGIA BINT
SHADWAN, was bred by the original El Zahraa Stud in Egypt.
SHADWANAs dam is the Swedish National Reserve Champion Mare SENSATION, also bred
by Countess Lewenhaupt, out of the Countess´ valued mare AK KASTANA. Imported
from the US, AK Kastana is linebred to the desert-dry,bv white stallion MORAFIC,
a son of NAZEER, arguably the most important stallion ever to stand at stud in
Egypt. Shadwana carries several more lines to Morafic in her pedigree on both
dam and sires sides, wich makes her a strong source of this precious bloodline.
AK Kastana was also the dam of the typey, chestnut stallion KISMET, a champion at halter, but she is mostly known for producing the very special stallion CRUSADER; twice World Reserve Champion Stallion, British National Champion Stallion and sire of Champions, among them the mare KATUN who was Spanish National Champion Mare & National Champion Filly. Crusader was bred by Countess Lewenhaupt, then sold as a young colt to the famous Lodge Farm in England. Later on, Crusader was exported to the Middle East, were he met with an untimely death at age 14.
Sensation is a 3/4 sister to Crusader, being by the same dam and out of a son of Salaa El Dine (graded ELITE in Germany), the sire of Crusader. Sensations sire is SHAHIN, bred in Germany by the respected breeder Dr Hans Nagel, Shahin is a double grandson of Dr Nagels valued bay mare HANAN. She was bred by the El Zahraa Stud and her production record is second to none: she is the dam of the famous sires ASFOUR (Australia), SALAA EL DINE (Germany), IBN GALAL I (Hungary) and JAMIL (Germany and the US). All these stallions have left important legacys in a number of different countries. Asfour was a lifetime chiefsire at the highly succesful Simeon Stud, were he gained fame for his outstanding sons and daughters; many of them National Champions and exported around the globe. The black Asfour-son SIMEON SADIK was sold to Halsdon Arabians, were he has attracted much admiration.
Ibn Galal I was a chiefsire at the Babolna Stud,
and Jamil was leased for some years to the Ansata Arabian Stud in the US. Salaa
El Dine has remained with Dr Nagel at his Katarinenhof Stud as prominent
Chiefsire.
Shahin stood at stud in Sweden for a number of years. He was shown at halter and
claimed the title of Swedish National Reserve Champion Stallion in 1997. He was
later exported to Kuwait.
SENSATION is the dam of Swedish National Reserve Champion Colt JUDGEMENT and the
stallion PHAROS.
SHADWANA is one of a very few females of this particular branch from the
succesful mare AK Kastana, with a pedigree representing a very influential and
important heritage.
